What is futuristic ? Where will we be in one million years?
One thing is certain, we will be somewhere.
So with that , can our lives reflect that future ?
In light of that future, does it not make the most sense to commit totally, completely unto God shunning everything he does, loving everything he does . Is it not only reasonable to depart completely from loving any aspect of the world , to be wholly in service to him , to be a living sacrifice which is only our reasonable service !
That’s only normal, that’s what is expected !
So many times our life or our choices don’t make sense to the world, but if you can’t see beyond this worldly death, you can’t see eternity, you can’t see forever, so why would you ever understand? We cannot expect the world to understand our decisions! We make our decisions in light of eternity! The world is blind to that, they can only see this life and all the treasures it has to offer. We have to stop trying to please the world. Let’s focus on what glorifies God!
Many times the truth might offend people, But “Blessed is he who is not offended of me” said Jesus. And we have to spread truth in a manner that is gentle and kind and helpful, do it self sacrificially out of love and die (earthly death) to get the message to them
Romans 12; 1-2
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God
No matter how far the world strays from God’s ways that gives us no excuse to stray from the way
